I live in an all electric home. I would expect that my utility rates will skyrocket with a plant like this. I will then need to invest in ways to lower my electric bill with money that I would have used for kids education, retirement, new car etc.. This bill will take more money out of the economy and increase inflation. Just what we need!!!

Rep. Latta: please, NO MORE STIMULUS! I can't afford it - nor can my children, grandchildren, or greatgrandchildren. Let the companies evolve naturally as capitalism is designed to do.

Rep. Latta, How do we stop this? I have written, written, written! Why does everyone keep doing this? I have read this legislation and am amazed at not just what it will do to business but how costly it is going to be to the American people in every aspect of our lives. Our energy use, Oil use for heat, heat from stoves, landscaping & water use. This is rediculious and intrusive! How can we stop this, I have written Mr. Brown & Mr. Voinovich. However by the responses from Mr. Brown I assume he is voting yes. Mr. Voinovich has not given a response. What can, we the people, do when no one will listen? Our family cannot afford what this legislation is suggesting.

There is no question in my mind that, this cap and trade will drive up the price electric power and everything produced with electric power. It will be worst for my kids and my grandkids. What is will do to the economy is anyone's guess but you can bet it will be bad.

I want to congratulate Bob on his push for $10 million for researching childhood cancers. My niece Colleen Kummer from Toledo, Ohio was diagnosed with a brain tumor around the same time as Alexa Brown. Colleen is currently cancer free, but still struggles with daily activites that we take for granted. She knows Alexa from Toledo Children's Hospital. Thank You Bob for your hard work and dedication to our children.

I really appreciated receiving you letter of reply concerning the lack of representation of the Delphi Salaried Retirees. I read that U.S. District Judge Gerber was the one who made the decision not to have the GM Salaried Retirees have representation when GM was going through bankrupcy proceedings last month. If he was, he will have to be the lead person to answer his decision. Fully it was this judge's responsibility to make sure that all parties were to be representated equally. (He might have been involved with other resources when he made his decision.) Judge Gerber's decision has had ill effects on the many salaried retiree families of the Delphi Corporation. Bob thank you for stepping up to the Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Committee on Fianancial Services to request immediate congressional hearings into the disposition of Delphi's retiree pension obligations and a thorough examination of the decision that resulted in these inequitable outcomes to hourly and salaried retirees. The “health bill” that is being pushed through congress will bankrupt this country. I’m happy with my health coverage, so please leave it alone. See what can be done to help those who can’t afford coverage. Some people do not have coverage because they choose not to, knowing that if they go to a hospital, they can not be turned away. Do not cover those in this country illegally.
