Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) co-sponsored the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2011, H.R. 459, by Representative Ron Paul (R-TX). The bill calls for the Comptroller General of the United States to conduct and complete a thorough audit of the Federal Reserve before the end of 2012.  

“We need a transparent monetary authority that answers to the people, not an unelected board that refuses to disclose vital operatinginformation.  H.R. 459 fulfills part of the mandate that the American people have entrusted in us, to make government more transparent, accessible, and accountable to ordinary Americans, not a few Washington insiders,” said Congressman Latta.
