LATTA TO PARTICIPATE IN AMERICAN ENERGY TOUR

Thursday, July 10, 2008

Washington, DC -- Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) announced today that he will participate in the American Energy Tour with fellow freshmen Republican House members from July 18 through July 21.

House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) will lead the ten member delegation to Golden, Colorado to tour the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and then continue to Alaska’s remote North Slope to tour the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).

“My constituents, along with a majority of the American public have made it clear that they support an energy plan that combines both renewable energy and the recovery of domestic resources.  This American energy tour encompasses both ideas and will lay the groundwork for a responsible, comprehensive energy reform plan for Congress to follow,” Latta said.

“I want to thank Leader Boehner for the invitation to participate on this important tour. I look forward to sharing what we learn with my constituents and colleagues in Congress so that we can start working towards lowering energy prices and reducing our dependency on Middle Eastern oil,” Latta added.
