Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) visited the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Toledo this past Friday morning. Joining Congressman Latta was Acting Director of the VA’s Ann Arbor Health Care System, Dr. Mary Beth Skupien. Latta and Skupien toured the clinic, greeted veterans, and spoke with physicians. This week is National Salute to Veteran Patients Week, where the 98,000 military veterans that are cared for in VA facilities every day are honored and celebrated.

“Our nation’s veterans have made countless sacrifices in defense of our freedoms, and our country is forever indebted for the actions of these brave men and women. While words can’t fully express our appreciation, I was happy to share my thanks and praise with the veterans at the Toledo CBOC on Friday. I also enjoyed being able to speak with the physicians and medical staff that serve these heroes on a daily basis. National Salute to Veteran Patients Week is a reminder of all that our veterans have done along with the commitment we’ve made to honor their service.”
