LATTA ASKS PRESIDENT TO DECLARE WOOD AND FULTON COUNTIES AS FEDERAL DISASTER AREAS IN WAKE OF DEADLY STORMS

Today, Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) sent a letter to President Obama, asking him to declare Wood and Fulton Counties as federal disaster areas in wake of this past weekend’s deadly storms.  A copy of the letter can be found here.

“Because of the deaths and massive destruction left in the wake of these storms, it is imperative that we provide whatever assistance may be necessary as these communities begin down the long road to recovery.  I hope that the President will move swiftly to expedite the recovery efforts for Wood and Fulton Counties.”

On Sunday June 6th and Monday June 7th, Congressman Latta toured Fulton and Wood Counties, respectively, with local officials to see the areas hardest hit by the tornados.
