LATTA TO JOIN REPUBLICAN COLLEAGUES IN WASHINGTON FOR ONGOING ENERGY PROTEST

Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) will return to Washington tomorrow, Tuesday August 12, to participate in the ongoing protest on the House floor organized by House Republicans to call for a vote on energy reform legislation.

“Since the Democrat majority adjourned session on August 1st without a vote on comprehensive energy reform, I have traveled throughout the Fifth District meeting with constituents.  During these meetings, my constituents made it very clear that energy prices are their number one concern and they support an “all of the above” energy policy that House Republicans have laid out.  People across the country are calling for a vote on energy legislation, and the Democrat majority will not give them one,” Latta said.

“I look forward to joining my Republican colleagues in Washington on Tuesday to share the concerns I have heard over the past ten days in my district and calling upon Speaker Pelosi to immediately convene Congress for a vote on comprehensive energy reform legislation,” Latta added.
