Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) is pleased to announce he is accepting applications for nominations to the United States Military Service Academies. 

Applications for the 2010 academic year will be accepted for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point. 

Candidates residing in Ohio’s 5th Congressional District who are interested in seeking a nomination to one of the four military service academies must meet the following basic requirements:

-Must be at least 17, but not yet 23 years-of-age by July 1st of year of admission to the academy
-Must be a citizen of the United States
-Must be unmarried
-Cannot be pregnant or have legal obligation to support a child or other dependents
-Must meet the medical, physical, and academic requirements of the Academy
