Latta Applauds FCC’s Rural Call Completion Task Force

Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) issued the following statement upon the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) creation of the Rural Call Completion Task Force. According to the FCC, the task force will investigate and address the growing problem of long distance phone calls to rural customers that are being delayed or fail to connect.
“I applaud the Commission’s efforts to examine the problem of phone calls being terminated in rural areas,” said Congressman Latta. “In the fast-moving world that we live in, individuals, families, farmers, small businesses, organizations, corporations, and government entities all rely on instantaneous communication. It is critical the Commission address these issues because it adversely affects family and business communications, as well as public safety,” added Latta. Congressman Latta learned of the issue through companies in the district. Since April of this year, Congressman Latta has been working to ensure the issue is resolved. |
