WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) issued the following statement on the 11th anniversary of September 11, 2001:
Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) issued the following statement on the 11th anniversary of September 11, 2001: “Today, I join my fellow Americans in a moment of silence to remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. As our nation mourns the loss of the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken that day, my thoughts and prayers go out to their families and loved ones. “On this sad day, let us take heart in also remembering the unwavering spirit and commitment to defend our freedoms and liberties as demonstrated by the American people after the inconceivable acts of September 11th. “11 years have passed but we will never forget the victims of 9/11 and the many brave citizens, including first responders, recovery workers, public safety officers and members of our law enforcement and military who heroically answered the call for help on that infamous day.” Congressman Latta will be joining his colleagues this morning in a bicameral, bipartisan remembrance ceremony, held on the steps of the United States Capitol, to pay tribute to the Americans whose lives were taken on September 11, 2001. ### |
