Latta Signs onto Bipartisan Letter Urging for Common Ground on Title I Reforms

Washington, DC, December 20, 2012 | Laura Strange (202-225-6405)

Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) joined a bipartisan letter, led by Congressman Bob Gibbs (R-OH), urging for a market-driven approach to Title I provisions in the final Farm Bill.

“Given the current economic climate, coupled with unpredictable farming conditions, it is imperative that we offer farmers the flexibility needed to plant crops according to market demands. I’m hopeful that the House and Senate Agriculture Committees can find common ground during finalization of the Farm Bill. I remain committed to working towards policies that provide both flexibility and long-term certainty to ensure our family farms remain viable,” said Congressman Latta.
