Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) was awarded with the “Spirit of Enterprise” award by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for his strong support of free enterprise. Congressman Latta issued the following statement: “I am pleased to accept this prestigious award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. As a steadfast advocate for pro-growth policies, I believe policies that allow businesses to innovate and create jobs are what will get our economy back on track.” The award is given annually to Members of Congress who score a 70 percent or higher score on key votes as determined by the U.S. Chamber. Congressman Latta scored 92 percent for the second session of the 112th Congress and has a cumulative score of 90 percent. “In the face of high-stakes politics and difficult choices, Rep. Latta provided America’s job creators with a strong voice in Congress,” said Thomas J. Donohue, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber. “This award recognizes Rep. Latta for consistently demonstrating his support for pro-growth policies.” The U.S. Chamber is the world’s largest business federation representing more than three million businesses and organizations of all size, sector, and region.
