Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) has invited Sherri Garner Brumbaugh of Findlay, Ohio, to be his guest for President Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday. Sherri is the president of Garner Transportation, a small family business that provides transportation, warehousing and logistics services throughout the Midwest. “I am honored to have Sherri accompany me at the President’s 2014 State of the Union address,” said Congressman Latta. “Under Sherri’s leadership, Garner Transportation continues to be a strong regional player in the commodities market, and her commitment to her employees and her customers remains unmatched. On Tuesday, the President will need to provide real answers to her and all Americans regarding the negative impacts Obamacare has had on small business and why his policies have failed to stimulate the economy and create the jobs he promised.” Sherri is an Ohio native and graduated from Liberty-Benton High School, The Ohio State University and Bowling Green State University. She began working for Garner Transportation in junior high school and has held a number of positions throughout the company before becoming its president in 2008. She is an alumna of the Hancock Leadership program and serves on The Community Foundation Board of Trustees. Recently, Sherri was also named by the Hancock County Commissioners to serve on the economic development task force. |
