WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH) today released the following statement after voting in favor of H.R. 4435, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2015. The bill authorizes budget authority for the Department of Defense and national security programs and contains a number of military personnel provisions, including a 1.8 percent pay increase for military personnel and resources to combat military suicide and military sexual assault. “Despite difficult budget times, it remains critical that we provide our military men and women with the necessary resources to complete current missions and defend against future threats,” said Latta. “The NDAA provides a strong national defense and security and honors the service of our men and women in uniform, veterans and their families – all while maintaining fiscal responsibility.” ### |
