National Association of Manufacturers Recognizes Latta as Champion of Manufacturing

Washington, October 14, 2014 | Sarah Criser (202-225-6405)

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has awarded Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH) with the NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence. The award reflects Latta’s votes in the 113th Congress on issues that are critical to the manufacturing industry in the United States.

“I’m proud to represent nearly 60,000 manufacturers whose hard work and perseverance have helped make America great,” said Latta. “As we work to spur economic prosperity and investment at home, the manufacturing industry provides opportunity for growth and success. I look forward to continuing to promote policies that create jobs, foster innovation and increase the industry’s competitiveness in Ohio and across the country.”

“Manufacturers in Ohio and throughout the United States are making a comeback, creating jobs, making more products and making them better than ever before,” said NAM Senior Vice President of Policy and Government Relations Aric Newhouse. “However, manufacturers are often disproportionately impacted by decisions made by policymakers in Washington. The NAM is proud to stand with lawmakers like Congressman Latta who understand what is at stake and seek to implement policies that will foster innovation, growth and competitiveness.”
