Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) issued the following statement regarding the anniversary of September 11, 2001:

“Today, I join my fellow Americans in remembrance of the September 11, 2001 attacks on America’s homeland. In the years passed, we have not forgotten the nearly 3,000 innocent lives taken that day, and we continue to mourn and pray for the victims, and their families. 

We salute the first responders, law enforcement, recovery workers, public safety officers, and military who heroically answered the calls for help from those in harms way.

On this day, we also evoke a sense of pride in the unwavering spirit and commitment to defending our freedoms Americans demonstrated following these horrific acts. The brave servicemen and women who answered their Nation’s call to action, and dedicated their lives to our safety, and the preservation of the liberties we hold dear, will forever remain in our hearts and in our prayers.”
