Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) issued the following statement regarding President Obama’s FY2017 budget plan that will hurt hardworking Americans.

“As the President sent his final budget to Congress this week, it is more of the same tax and spending problems that keep driving up the debt and deficit on hardworking Americans,” said Latta. “The President’s proposal to raise taxes on oil will cost each American 25 cents on a gallon of gasoline. Everyday costs will increase due to this tax at a time when our economy has yet to recover from the 2008 financial crisis. I will work with my Republican colleagues in Congress to be sure that this tax, or any like it, remains dead on arrival.”
