Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) today voted in support of H.R. 2666, the No Rate Regulation of Broadband Internet Access Act, to prohibit the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from regulating the retail rates charged by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for broadband Internet access service. 

“The FCC’s decision to expand its authority and implement rules to regulate the prices ISPs charge for broadband generates significant uncertainty for providers and as a result, discourages investment,” said Congressman Latta. “The bill that passed the House of Representatives today, of which I am a co-sponsor, would eliminate the threat of regulatory uncertainty so that ISPs can continue to develop new services that will keep rates affordable for consumers and offer more choice.”
