Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) issued the following statement after the D.C. Circuit Court issued its 2-1 opinion upholding the FCC’s Net Neutrality rules.
“I’m disappointed by today's D.C. Court ruling upholding the FCC’s Net Neutrality rules as it will result in an Internet that is less innovative and burdened by government bureaucracy and inefficiency. In addition to valid legal questions about the FCC’s proposal, the ruling ignores the negative effects that will be felt by users and innovators as the Internet becomes less consumer-driven. I’m confident that this decision will be appealed, and I hope that the next court decision will take into account the chilling effect that these rules will have on investment, competition, and innovation.” ### |
