Latta Legislation to Name Findlay Post Office After Late Congressman Mike Oxley Signed Into Law

The President has signed into law legislation authored by Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) naming the Findlay Post Office after former U.S. and Ohio Representative Mike Oxley. The bill, H.R. 4925, designates the post office at 229 West Main Cross Street in Findlay, Ohio as the ‘Michael Garver Oxley Memorial Post Office Building.’ Congressman Oxley served over thirty years in the Ohio General Assembly and in Congress where he rose to become Chairman of the Financial Services Committee.

“It’s now official that the Findlay Post Office will bear the name of Mike Oxley, a committed public servant and good man,” said Latta. “Mike’s decades of service in the Ohio Legislature and the U.S. Congress deserve to be honored in his hometown and around the region. The Main Street Post Office is a central location in any community, including Findlay, and this law ensures his name and legacy will be remembered for years to come.”

A ceremony will be held to celebrate the naming of the post office, but a date and time are still to be determined.
