Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) has been presented with the Tax Fighter Award from the National Tax Limitation Committee (NTLC) for his strong pro-taxpayer voting record in the 114th Congress. Latta scored a 90% on key votes highlighted by the organization.
“It’s important to stand up for Ohio taxpayers that see a significant portion of their paycheck heading to Washington each month,” said Latta. “Whether it’s getting rid of the ill-conceived death tax, simplifying a broken tax code, or reducing rates on small businesses so they can reinvest and grow, we need to be working toward solutions that support taxpaying families and businesses. With our nation still struggling with a sluggish economic recovery, it’s imperative that we implement pro-growth tax policies that create jobs and allow our economy to thrive.” “Representative Latta has been a leader in the battle on behalf of taxpayers to kill the hated death tax, reduce tax rates and the complexity of the tax code, to provide incentives for private savings, investment and job creation, to control the growth of federal spending and to force Congress to act on major, economic growth-inducing tax reform,” said NTLC President Lewis K. Uhler. “Representative Latta has been a major asset to taxpayers all across America during his congressional service. He has had the courage to challenge the orthodoxy of Washington special interests. His leadership is vital to America’s future.” ### |
