Latta Announces Congressional Art Competition Winner
Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) announced Ethan Cawley, a student at Cory-Rawson High School, as the winner of Ohio’s Fifth District 2017 Congressional Art Competition at an event on Saturday in Findlay.
In a ceremony at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts, Latta honored Mr. Cawley for his winning art piece along with three Honorable Mention winners, Delaney McQuown, Mac Veh, and Paige Burger. The winning artwork, entitled, “Lola ‘72” will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Tunnel for one year. The three Honorable Mention pieces will be displayed in each of Latta’s district offices.
“Congratulations to Ethan for his original and creative artwork — it will be a welcome addition to the Capitol building in D.C.,” said Congressman Latta. “It’s always interesting to see what students in Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District are able to come up with, and this year was no different. I’d like to thank everyone that participated in the competition this year.”
