Today, Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) toured Cherry Street Mission’s Life Revitalization Center in Toledo to get an up-close look at the work being done to serve the region. The Life Revitalization Center occupies what used to be Macomber High School and recent renovations have allowed for more job training, education programs, and additional services to help the local community. On the tour, Latta heard about the center’s Call Center Customer Service Training Program, the only one of its kind in the country.

“The Life Revitalization Center is making a real difference in so many people’s lives,” said Latta. “This facility – along with Cherry Street Mission’s team – is an asset to the region as it puts job training, education programs, and other needed services in one location. They continue to find new ways to serve the community with the use of classrooms, the gym, and shop areas to prepare people for the workforce. Along with the work they are already doing, it was exciting to see the new programs that are currently taking shape.”
