Latta Recognized for Conservative Voting Record by American Conservative Union

Washington, April 20, 2018 | Drew (202-225-6405)
Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) has been awarded the American Conservative Union (ACU) Award for Conservative Excellence based on his conservative voting record and values. The ACU highlighted Latta’s votes to repeal Obamacare, defund Planned Parenthood, and his support of the tax reform bill. Founded in 1964, the ACU is the nation’s original conservative organization.

“I’m honored to receive this award based on my conservative votes on issues involving life, healthcare, and our economy,” said Latta. “There is no greater duty as a Member of Congress than ensuring that the values of my constituents are represented on each and every vote. They expect me to support legislation that shrinks government, reduces burdensome regulations, and promotes sound fiscal policies that let Americans keep more of their hard-earned money. This award highlights the fact that my record is in lockstep with the conservative values of Northwest and West Central Ohio.”

“Whether it’s defunding Planned Parenthood or providing historic tax cuts for American families, Congressman Bob Latta can be counted on to enact conservative policies in Congress,” said ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp. “The constituents in Ohio’s 5th District can rely on Rep. Latta’s consistent voting record supporting the Constitution and conservative principles.”
