Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) has been awarded the ‘True Blue’ Award based on his strong pro-family values voting record in Congress. The award was presented by FRC Action, the Family Research Council’s legislative affiliate. Latta scored 100% on FRC Action’s scorecard in 2018. This scorecard includes votes that support faith, family, and freedom including requiring health care professionals to provide lifesaving medical care to survivors of abortion attempts, expanding 529 savings accounts to make unborn children eligible for benefits, and pro-faith legislation to address the Johnson Amendment which forbids tax exempt organizations from engaging in any activity that may be interpreted as campaign related.

“In a week where the Senate voted down the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, it’s never been more important to stand up for family values,” said Latta. “I’m honored to receive the ‘True Blue’ Award in recognition of my steadfast support for pro-family legislation. These are the values of Ohio’s 5th Congressional District, and I’ll continue to back policies that protect life, liberty, and religious freedom.”
