Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) released the following statement after voting against several bills this week aimed at reducing energy production, including bans on offshore drilling and drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).
“Thanks to policies passed under Republican leadership last Congress, our economy is booming and America is asserting our dominance in energy production. As a result, prices have lowered across the country, and we no longer rely on hostile nations for our oil supply. The Democrats’ messaging votes this week roll back progress and jeopardize the quality of life and national security advances our country has made over the past few years. We all share a commitment to protecting our environment--but it’s time to come to the table with Republicans on plans that don’t hurt families across the country.” |
