Today, Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH5) announced he co-sponsored two Congressional resolutions to disapprove of the Biden Administration’s effort to send $6 billion to Iran and to condemn the Hamas terrorist attack on the nation and people of Israel. 

“Over the past few days, the world has watched in horror as Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israeli communities and slaughtered hundreds of innocent civilians – including at least 14 Americans,” Latta said. “Make no mistake, these terrorists are backed by the Iranian regime whose mission is to wipe Israel off the map. The Biden administration’s efforts to appease Iran, coupled with their decision to ease sanctions and provide them with $6 billion dollars, is wrong and sets an extremely dangerous precedent.  Without question, the $6 billion headed to Iran should be immediately frozen, and I strongly urge the administration to take this action now.”  

Latta concluded, “The United States must continue to send an unequivocal message to the rest of the world that we condemn these heinous acts of terror and will always stand with the nation and people of Israel.”
