House Passes the HALT Fentanyl ActBipartisan, Bicameral Legislation Authored by Reps. Latta and Griffith

Today, the House of Representatives passed the HALT Fentanyl Act, a bipartisan, bicameral bill that would make the temporary class-wide scheduling order for fentanyl-related substances (FRS) permanent. Congressman Bob Latta (OH-5) and Congressman Morgan Griffith (VA-9) led the House version of this bill. “The HALT Fentanyl Act helps protect American communities by tackling deadly fentanyl-related substances and saving lives. We are grateful to our Republican colleagues, led by Speaker Johnson, Leader Scalise, Whip Emmer and Chairwoman McClain, for their critical support of our bill and its Senate companion.
