Latta Statement Recognizing Constitution Day

Washington, DC, September 17, 2013 | Laura Strange (202-225-6405)

Today, Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) issued the following statement in recognition of the 226th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution:

“Since the very first signing of our nation’s Constitution on September 17, 1787, it has guided our nation for well over two centuries, and deserves the respect and reverence of all people in the United States not only on this day, but also throughout the year. 226 years ago, great men brought the Constitution forth, and throughout our history it has been defended and upheld by hundreds of thousands of lives – the lives of our brave military men and women.”

Congressman Latta is a member of the Constitution Caucus, and since 2007, Latta has distributed pocket-sized Constitutions to high school government classes throughout Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District.
