Latta Votes in Favor of Legislation to Pay National Guard and Reserves and Fund the VA

Today, the House passed Pay Our Guard and Reserve Act (H.R. 3230) and Honoring Our Promise to America's Veterans Act (H.J. Res. 72), which provides immediate funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically for veterans disability payments, the GI Bill, education training, and VA home loans. Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) issued the following statement in support of these bills: “Our nation’s National Guards, reservists, and veterans have made great sacrifices for our country and have honored their commitments. This legislation provides commonsense solutions to ensure these servicemen and women and veterans receive the benefits they were pledged and have rightfully earned. I urge Senator Reid to quickly take up this legislation and send it to the President for his signature.”
