Latta Tours OSU’s ElectroScience Lab

Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) toured the Ohio State University’s ElectroScience Lab Thursday afternoon and met with the lab’s director, John Volakis. Latta and Volakis discussed advancements in wireless communication, textile antennas, remote sensing, and radar frequency technologies. The ElectroScience Laboratory is one of the largest radio frequency optics research laboratories in the world. Congressman Latta serves as Vice-Chair of the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology.
 
“The work they are doing at the ElectroScience Lab is pushing the limits in advancing technology,” said Latta. “The research that is being conducted will pay countless dividends in the wireless communication and radio frequency fields. I want to thank Professor Volakis and his team for showing me around the facility.”
