Latta Meets with Small Business Groups in Perrysburg, Archbold

Bowling Green, OH, August 16, 2017 | Drew Griffin (202-225-6405)
Today, Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) spoke with members of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) at a breakfast and lunch in Perrysburg and Archbold, respectively. NFIB represents 325,000 businesses in all fifty states and advocates on issues that impact small businesses. The discussions focused mainly on the work Congress is doing to simplify the tax code and streamline burdensome regulations.

“Small businesses are the engines of our economy, responsible for creating two out of every three new jobs,” said Latta. “This is despite the fact that many are struggling under loads of regulations and a complex tax code that disproportionately affects them. What I heard today from these small business leaders will be invaluable as Congress tackles tax reform in the coming months. At the same time, I was able to share with them the progress we’ve already made this year to provide regulatory relief, including 14 Congressional Review Acts that were signed into law.”
