Today, the House passed H.R. 3, the Northern Route Approval Act, a bill to remove remaining barriers on the approval of the Keystone XL pipeline. Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green), an original cosponsor of the bill, issued the following statement after its passage: “For four straight years, the Keystone XL pipeline has undergone extensive administrative scrutiny. By continuing to delay a decision on the Keystone XL pipeline, President Obama is delaying the creation of 20,000 new American manufacturing and construction jobs, 100,000 indirect jobs, and greater energy security for the country. This energy infrastructure project would bring jobs, additional revenue, and greater energy security to America at a time when we need it most.”
