Latta: President’s Budget Ignores Administration Failures

Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) today issued the following statement in response to President Obama’s proposed 2015 Fiscal Year budget:

“The President’s proposed budget once again demonstrates that there will be no real change under this Administration,” said Latta. “Instead of learning from the failures of the past five years, the President’s plan increases the federal government’s piggy bank on the backs of American families and businesses with an additional $1.8 trillion in tax increases. It also continues Washington’s reckless spending with $56 billion in increases above the Murray–Ryan spending agreement, which the President signed into law just two months ago.”

“Our constituents elected us to make the difficult decisions that will get this country back on track. Now is the time for this Administration to focus its efforts on policies that promote job creation, encourage growth and investment in our economy, and make day-to-day life better for all hardworking Americans. The budget released today does nothing to this effect, and in fact, deters these commonsense goals.”
