Today, Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) recognized National Manufacturing Day and the importance of manufacturing to the economies of Ohio and the United States. The manufacturing sector contributes $2.17 trillion to the U.S. economy annually and employs 12.3 million workers across the country. Latta also cosponsored a bipartisan concurrent resolution to recognize National Manufacturing Day.

As part of National Manufacturing Day, Latta toured Valfilm in Findlay.

“I’m proud to represent the more than 60,000 men and women that work in manufacturing in Ohio’s 5th Congressional District,” said Latta. “The manufacturing sector is a critical part our economy both here in Ohio and around the nation. We should recognize the importance of producing American-made goods and pursue policies that allow our manufacturers to grow and create jobs. That includes reforming our broken tax code which puts U.S. manufacturers at a disadvantage. Today, on National Manufacturing Day, we recognize the importance of manufacturing in our communities, our state, and our nation.”
