Today, Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH5) provided the following statement to recognize National Manufacturing Day and the importance of manufacturing to the economies of Ohio and the United States:

“I’m proud to represent over 81,000 men and women employed by the manufacturing industry in Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District. When our manufacturing industry thrives, so do the hardworking families and individuals here in Ohio and across the United States. On National Manufacturing Day, we pledge to continue supporting this vital industry and pursuing policies that help our manufacturers grow and create good paying jobs right here in Ohio.”  

The Census Bureau recently released new data showing that Ohio’s Fifth District is home to 81,422 manufacturing jobs, the most of any congressional district in the state of Ohio.
