Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) issued the following statement after approval of a resolution that establishes the fiscal year 2012 budget, which cuts the federal deficit by $4.4 trillion over the next decade:

“Washington’s spending is out of control and the only way to remedy this is to make our federal budget lives within its means, just like America’s families.  I, with my Republican colleagues, will work to restore fiscal sanity by passing a budget that balances the budget, cuts spending, repeals Obamacare, reforms entitlement programs and simplifies the tax code.  The Republican plan will provide a stark contrast to the President’s plan, which raises taxes stifling economic growth, fails to balance the budget and ignores entitlement reform.
