Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) issued the following statement today regarding December’s national unemployment report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

“Today’s jobs number shows that we are still unable to keep up with the nation’s population growth. Unemployment rose this month to 7.8 percent and the number of Americans participating in the labor force remains low at 63.6 percent. There is still much work to be done to create enough jobs that get Americans back to full-time work. As Congress begins its next term, I remain committed to addressing the issues, such as high corporate tax rates, the deficit, and our mounting national debt, all which continue to hinder our economic recovery.”
