Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) released the following statement after the Bureau of Economic Analysis announced that 3rd Quarter GDP grew at 3.5%, beating expectations. With 4.2% economic growth in the 2nd Quarter, these are the best back-to-back quarters in four years. “Strong back-to-back quarters are yet another example of an economy that is roaring. There is now a very good chance that we hit 3% annual growth for the year, which would be the best year for the economy since 2005. It’s also good news that the growth was fueled by consumer spending, which means that Americans are benefitting from policies put in place to expand our economy. This announcement couldn’t make it more clear that actions undertaken by the President and this Congress to provide tax relief to hard-working families and shrink government red tape are working.” ### |
